1. Plan Your Workout in Advance
Walking into the gym without a plan can leave you feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next, which can quickly increase anxiety.
Having a written workout ready ensures you know exactly what you’re there to accomplish, it’s like having a roadmap to success. Take the guesswork out of your session so you can focus on execution, move efficiently through your workout, and leave knowing you’ve made progress.

3. Wear What Makes You Feel Good
Dress for success in the gym, feeling great in your outfit can do wonders for your self esteem. Whether you prefer an oversized T-shirt and leggings or a sports bra and shorts, choose clothes that make you feel comfortable so that you’re ready to get moving! This way you can focus fully on your workout without becoming distracted by your outfit.
4. Remember: Everyone Starts Somewhere
Don’t fall at the first hurdle by comparing yourself to others - everyone has been a beginner once! It’s all too easy to start worrying about being judged or looking out of place, but the reality is that most people in the gym are already focused on their own workouts - they’re not paying attention to you!
Preparation is key - Having a plan that’s tailored specifically for you, knowing your form, and dressing in what makes you feel empowered can go a long way in reducing gym anxiety.
